Wind - The Facts

7. Existing UK wind energy projects generate enough electricity for nearly half a million homes.
8. Technology developed in the last ten years means the mechanical noise from turbines is almost undetectable. The main sound is the aerodynamic swoosh and the blades passing the tower.
